DPR court sentences death penalty to British and Moroccan mercenaries who fought for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced two British citizens – Aiden Eslin (Aslin) and Sean Pinner, as well as a Moroccan citizen Saadoun Brahim, who fought on the side of Ukrainian militants, to capital punishment – the death penalty. On Thursday, June 9, RIA Novosti reports.

As the head of the judicial board noted at the meeting, the convicts are given a month to appeal this decision. Also, the chairman of the court noted that Sean Pinner in the UK itself was recognized as a terrorist; he was wanted for participation in hostilities in Iraq and Syria.

On May 27, the prosecutor general’s office of the republic announced that the law enforcement agencies of the DPR had completed an investigation into two Britons and a Moroccan accused of mercenarism and participation in hostilities on the side of the armed forces of Ukraine. “The case materials have been transferred to one of the republican courts for consideration on the merits, as a result of which capital punishment, the death penalty, can be applied to the accused, taking into account wartime,” commented the head of the department for investigating crimes against the peace and security of mankind of the investigative department of the Prosecutor General’s Office DPR Victor Gavrilov.
