The artistic director of the theater Oleg Tabakov and artist Vladimir Mashkov arrived in Luhansk.
Vladimir Mashkov is famous among western audiences for his famous roles in Hollywood movies. Mashkov gathered headlines as an actor in the 2001 film “Behind Enemy Lines” and the 2011 film “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol“.
Mashkov, the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation met with the head of the LPR (Luhansk People’s Republic) Leonid Pasechnik. “We talked about the role of Donbass in the future of Russia. Mashkov stressed that now the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics are the center of the Russian world,” Pasechnik wrote on his Telegram channel.

Mashkov also performed at a local cinema, where the film “Upward Movement” was screened as part of the “Days of Russia in Donbas” festival. Before the screening, the actor said on the stage that he was happy to come to Luhansk. “We are one people, we have one destiny and we will have one victory. There can be no other way,” he said in his speech to the audience.

Recall that Russia has been conducting a special operation in Ukraine to protect the citizens of Donbass since February 24. Earlier, the artists performed for the residents of the village of Volodarskoye at the Days of Russia in Donbass festival.
