Kristijan Iličić, one of the most famous regional adventurers and travel bloggers, is currently there. As he said in a video, according to local media reports, over 1,000 people were killed.

–  More than 600 of them were injured because the earthquake happened in rural areas where houses are poorly built, all made of baked bricks. And the problem is that the quake was at 1:30 a.m. when everyone was asleep. So they believe that this number will grow drastically – Iličić pointed out.

He adds that the Taliban reacted immediately, but that the biggest problem is the extremely bad roads that prevent quick access to these rural, remote areas.

–  As far as I know, they tell me that the Taliban sent helicopters and all possible means to save people there and help them. They also appealed to the international community to help them.

At the time of the earthquake, Iličić was in the Afghan capital, Kabul .

–  There is no damage in Kabul, no one was injured and no one was killed. The earthquake was felt for about 10 seconds and that was it – concluded Iličić.
