The Russian state television Russia Today will open its representative office in Serbia.
It is a TV station banned by the EU for inciting and supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Ljubinka Milinčić, chief and responsible editor of Sputnjik Serbia, confirmed for Nova.rs that the opening of that channel is being prepared.

– Yes, that’s right. She will not start working in Serbia now, but is preparing – she says.
According to information from Nova.rs, the head of that television will be Milinčić’s daughter, but she neither confirmed nor denied this information.
– Should I tell you a secret now or not? Let them say it – says the editor of Sputnik Serbia.

Back in March, the Council of the EU decided to suspend the distribution of the Russian state media Russia Today and Sputnik throughout the EU. As reported by the media, the sanctions cover all means of transmission and distribution, such as cable, satellite, IPTV, platforms, websites and applications, and all relevant licenses, authorizations and distribution agreements are suspended, the EU Council stated.
