In today’s devastating explosion during the evening prayer in a mosque in Kabul, a large number of people were killed, the local police announced, without specifying the exact number of victims.
One Taliban intelligence officer, who wished to remain anonymous, said in an interview with a Reuters reporter that as many as 35 people were wounded or killed, but that the number of victims could be higher.
Al Jazeera reported that Taliban officials said 20 people had lost their lives.

The Kabul ambulance announced on Twitter that it received 27 patients wounded in the explosion, including a seven-year-old child.

The citizens of Kabul say that due to the force of the explosion in the northern part of the capital, the windows of nearby buildings were broken.
