Ursula Von der Leyen announced her visit to the Western Balkans during the summit of the European Political Community in Prague at the beginning of this month, when she said that our region is “an integral part of the European family”.
The EC president’s visit to the region is being organized two weeks after the progress reports of all six countries were published, in which a detailed assessment and clear guidelines were given that allow the countries of the Western Balkans to recognize where they need to go faster in reforms.
By the way, the next summit of the European Union and the countries from the Western Balkans will be held on December 6 in Tirana, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced yesterday.

“We will hold the next EU-Western Balkans summit on December 6 in Tirana to once again confirm our increased commitment. The Western Balkans is a key priority for the European Union. The European Union and the Western Balkans need each other,” Michel said on his Twitter account.
