German arrested for spying for Russia

A German resident, whose full name has not been released, was arrested at Munich airport on Sunday and arrested the next day on suspicion of spying for Russia. About it Thursday informed German Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
Arrest linked to the investigation business on espionage within the German Federal Intelligence Service BND. It is alleged that the suspect gave one of the Russian special services information received from the previously arrested BND officer.
From the message of the prosecutor’s office, it appears that the German citizen Arthur E. arrested on Monday was not an employee of the German intelligence services, but served as a courier. No further details of the case are given.
The accused was detained upon his arrival from the United States. The operation took place in the presence of employees of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In December in Germany stopped suspected of spying for Russia, an employee of the Federal Intelligence Service. Before that, the last case of disclosure of a double agent in Germany was in 2014. Then, a foreign intelligence officer was arrested for passing classified information to the United States and offering his services to Russia.
