The IOC called the conditions for admission of Russians to international competitions

International Olympic Committee (IOC) Free allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions if they have not spoken out for war in Ukraine and do not resort to doping.
“Only athletes who fully comply with the Olympic Charter could compete. Namely: those who have failed to act against the peaceful mission of the IOC, actively supporting the war in Ukraine and fully complying with the World Anti-Doping Code and all relevant anti-doping rules and regulations,” the IOC said.
The committee insists that no athlete should be denied the opportunity to compete simply because of their passport. According to the IOC’s proposal, if allowed, Russian and Belarusian athletes will compete under a neutral flag.
The IOC has confirmed that the rest of the sanctions remain in place. Thus, the national flags, anthems and other identifying elements of Russia and Belarus are prohibited in all international competitions. These countries do not organize competitions under the auspices of the IOC. Russian and Belarusian officials are neither invited nor accredited to international competitions and meetings.
President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov appointed the IOC’s proposal is an attempt to take a step towards the athletes and “at the same time two steps in the opposite direction”. In the Kremlin declared that “there is too much politics in the wording of the initiative”.
In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine , the IOC, along with the International Paralympic Committee and almost all non-Olympic sports federations, banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in international competitions.
Earlier for admission to the 2024 Summer Olympics for Russians and Belarusians under neutral flags expressed himself United States Olympic and Paralympic Committees and IOC President Thomas Bach.
