Boris Johnson discussed Ukraine with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with Republican lawmakers, urging the United States to continue supporting Ukraine to help it repel a Russian invasion.
Johnson has spoken to the highest-ranking Republican, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, in his office and is expected to speak at a closed Republican club, said House Foreign Affairs Committee member Joe Wilson .
Johnson is also scheduled to meet with a group of Republican senators, Sen. Todd Young said, noting he did not know the exact time.
McCarthy’s office did not respond to a request for comment.
Johnson, who resigned in September after a series of scandals, was prime minister when Russia invaded Ukraine last February.
