Spain will send four to six Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Spain plans to send four to six German-made Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine, El Pais reported on Wednesday, citing unspecified government sources.

The actual number will depend on the condition of the main battle tanks in storage and the number of tanks other countries may send, sources said.

A spokesman for the Spanish Ministry of Defense did not respond to a request for comment.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Tuesday that his government plans to receive 120 to 140 Western tanks from a coalition of 12 countries in the first wave of deliveries.
