Ukraine announced a nationwide air alert, Odessa is out of power

Electricity was cut across Odessa. The whole city and part of the Odessa region are out of power due to an accident at the Ukrenergo substation, reported in the energy company DTEK.

The organization added that it was the second large-scale accident at the substation in the past day. Eyewitnesses reported on social media seeing smoke from a fire, presumably at one of the substations near Odessa.

The head of the Odessa regional military administration, Maxim Marchenko, noted that emergency power cuts are happening in the region. According to him, the main facilities of critical civil infrastructure are being connected to electricity.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal ordered to send all the powerful generators available to the Ministry of Energy to Odessa.

On Saturday morning, an air alert was announced across Ukraine. Belarusian activists They said an early warning and control plane took off from Machulishche airfield. No strikes were reported.

According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, in 2022 an air raid alert was announced almost 15,000 times in the country.

In turn, the governor of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, Vyacheslav Gladkov informed that the village of Krasnoye was shelled. A house was damaged there, the windows of two others were smashed. No problem.

Earlier in the day, Gladkov wrote in a telegram about Ukraine’s shelling of the bridge metal structures factory in Borisovka. There was a fire in the business. It is localized. There were no casualties. Gladkov extended the high level of terrorist threat in the Belgorod region indefinitely.

To the Russian Ministry of Defense claim that Russian troops chased Ukrainian Armed Forces units from the western outskirts of the village of Dvurechnaya, in the Kharkiv region.

Russian-controlled authorities in Donetsk reported the bombardment of the city center with several rocket launchers. There is destruction. Information on possible victims is specified.

The American Institute for the Study of War reports in a daily report that Russian troops are carrying out increasingly intense offensive operations in the Kremennaya region.

Kremennaya and Svatovo are Russian defense strongholds in the Lugansk region, which are approached by Ukrainian forces, but Russian troops are trying to seize the initiative in the area. There are also reports of ongoing Russian offensive operations in the south, in the Bakhmut region of the Donetsk region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reports that Russian troops are advancing in the Kremennaya and Bakhmut region, as well as in other directions – with heavy losses, and claims that the attacks have been repelled.

Under conditions of hostilities, it is difficult to verify the authenticity of reports from belligerents.
