The visit was announced by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s office. The report says Zelenskyyy will address the British parliament and meet with the Ukrainian military, who are being trained by their British counterparts.
Sunak also announced that the UK would train Ukrainian pilots “in NATO-compliant fighter jets”.
He added that the UK would speed up the delivery of military equipment to Ukraine.
“I am proud that today we are expanding the training program to include not only soldiers, but also marines and fighter pilots, so that Ukraine has an army capable of protecting its interests at future,” Sunak said. “It also underscores our commitment not only to provide military equipment in the short term, but also our commitment to stand by Ukraine in the future.”
