Australia’s sports minister speaks out in favor of Russian participation in the 2024 Olympics

Anika Wells said she supports the International Olympic Committee (IOC) proposal to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Summer Games in a neutral status. She told SBS reporters about it.

“We support the IOC’s plan to explore the possibility of allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions under strict conditions of neutrality,” said the head of Australia’s Department of Sport.

The Paris Summer Olympics will begin on July 26, 2024. RT . The final decision on the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the Games will be taken in the spring.
