Roman Kostomarov’s state of health deteriorated sharply after the amputation of his hands

Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov had his hands amputated, after the operation the condition of the eminent skater deteriorated sharply. Kostomarov’s health was reported by Izvestia, citing a source.

According to the media, the patient’s left lung, which is prone to fibrosis, is causing concern. The athlete could not breathe on his own, so he had to be put into an artificial coma the night before.

Before it became known that both hands were amputated at Kostomarov. Thus, doctors fought necrosis. A week earlier, on February 7, the Olympic champion had his foot amputated due to tissue necrosis. There were reports in the press about a similar operation on the second foot.
