Finnish customs can’t stop Russian tourists from shopping

The Finnish Customs and Border Service cannot stop the flow of Russian tourists who come to the country for shopping.

Despite the sanctions against the Russians, travelers choose a long but absolutely legal route to Finland. Citizens of the Russian Federation cross the border with Norway with a Schengen visa and return via Finland, writes Yle.”Finnish customs does not have the capacity to stop this flow because of the Schengen rules,” said customs chief for the municipality of Tornio Kari Hannu.
