Secretary Blinken to Travel to Germany, Turkey and Greece

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will attend the Munich Security Conference, where he will hold a series of meetings to discuss further support for Ukraine, assistance to Turkey and the Syrian people. This is stated in the statement of the US State Department.

The Secretary of State’s next stop will be Ankara, where he will meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and other senior Turkish officials.

Anthony Blinken will discuss “continued U.S. support for Turkey and the Turkish people in the wake of the devastating earthquakes, and ways to further strengthen our partnership with Turkey as a valued NATO ally.”

In Athens, Secretary Blinken will meet with Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis, Foreign Minister Dendias and Opposition Leader Alexis Tsipras to discuss defense cooperation, energy security and a shared commitment to defend democracy.
