Virginia Child Abduction: Amber Alert Issued for Julia Ashcroft in Smyth County

An Amber Alert was issued in Virginia on Wednesday after a teen was allegedly abducted in Smyth County.

Julia Ashcroft, 14, was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of North Glenwood Avenue and East Main Street in Marion. She is described as a white female with blonde hair, blue eyes, standing 5’4” tall, and weighing approximately 140 pounds.

Julia was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie and shorts. She was carrying a black-colored backpack.

Police believe Julia may be in extreme danger and urge anyone who sees her or has information on her whereabouts to contact the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office at (276) 783-7204 or dial 911.
