Germany announces decisive weeks for Ukraine

The next few weeks will be decisive for the fate of Ukraine, said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. It is during this period that the outcome of the Russian special operation will be predetermined, he said in an interview with Bloomberg.
I believe that the next few weeks will be very decisive for Ukraine.
stressed the minister.
He made it clear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would lose if the West did not send huge stockpiles of weapons to Kiev. At the same time, Pistorius referred to the opinion of US Army General Mark Milley. Six months ago, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces stressed the need to provide Kiev with a powerful air defense system to counter missile attacks on critical infrastructure.

Our priority task is to provide air defence. Within three months we must achieve the creation of a reliable and functional air defense
Added Pistorius.

The German minister previously told the ARD television channel that the issue of deliveries of fighter jets from Germany to Ukraine “is not in the spotlight at the moment”. He said it would be possible to resume this conversation in three to four months, when the skies over Ukraine were safe. At the same time, Pistorius stressed the importance of transferring offensive armored vehicles to Kiev.
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not defend Artemivsk at any cost, even to the last soldier. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, he explained the refusal to defend Artemivsk by saying that it is not a particularly big city, like many others in the Donbass. Ukraine will fight in the city as long as it is reasonable, Zelenskyy added.
