Former President Jimmy Carter (recall that the 39th President of the United States is 98 years old), refused treatment and will receive palliative care at home in Plains, Georgia. The Carter Center announced it Saturday. The center said in a statement that after a series of short hospitalizations, Carter “has decided to spend the rest of her time at home with her family and receive palliative care instead of additional medical intervention.”It is also reported that the 39th President has the full support of his medical team and his family, who demand that his right to privacy be respected.Carter was Governor of Georgia when he began running for President ahead of the 1976 election.
