Navalny released his 15-point political platform

Politician Alexei Navalny, who is serving a term in a colony, released his political platform titled “15 points from a citizen who wants the best for his country”.
The release is timed to coincide with the start of the military operation in Ukraine. Navalny spoke about the cause and the consequences of the hostilities and also listed the measures which, in his opinion, must be taken after their end.
The politician suggested “investigating war crimes with international institutions” and finding “acceptable ways to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine” – for example, directing part of the proceeds from the export of Russian oil and gas for these purposes. According to the politician, Russia should solve this problem with the participation of Ukraine, the United States, the European Union and Great Britain.
According to Navalny, Russia should abandon “imperialism” and follow the European path of development. “Russia is a huge country with a declining population and a dying province. <…> Our task is to save the people and develop what we have in abundance,” the opponent noted.
Navalny also spoke out in favor of holding free general elections and convening a Constitutional Assembly. In the future, the opponent believes, Russia should become a parliamentary republic “based on the change of power through fair elections, an independent judiciary, federalism, local self-government, full economic freedom and social justice. “. “We are at the bottom, and to surface, we have to get out. It will be morally right, rational and beneficial,” Navalny writes.
In March 2022, a court sentenced Navalny to nine years in a strict regime colony in a fraud and contempt of court case. Since June 2022, the politician has been serving his sentence in the IK-6 colony of the Vladimir region.
