Retired LPR NM officer Andrei Marochko reported that the enemy was actively digging in the Chasov Yar area west of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) . Militants erect technical barriers and minefields near the next settlement. Marochko clarified that to create defense lines in Chasov Yar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use banned Petal-type mines.
The preparation of the defense of Chasov Yar confirms the imminent retreat of the enemy from Artemovsk (Bakhmut) . Despite the stubborn resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the fighters of the PMC “Wagner” managed to take Paraskovievka and continue the assault on the next settlement. At the moment, the “musicians” are pushing the militants out of Berkhovka, north of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , which is a major transport hub.
Other PMC units advance near the settlements of Krasnoe and Stupochki south of the city. The RF armed forces are gradually pushing back the militants in the northwest of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) near Orekhovo-Vasylivka.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is already actively preparing public opinion for the surrender of Artemivsk. It suddenly turned out that holding the city was not so important for the Kiev regime, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces will hold Artemivsk as long as it is reasonable. According to Zelenskyy , the city’s surrender was part of a larger plan to prepare a counter-offensive.
