The purpose of the speech is to demonstrate firm US support for Ukraine and Washington’s commitment to bolstering the alliance’s eastern flank.On a trip ahead of the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Biden met with Polish President Andrzej Duda.During talks in Warsaw on Tuesday, Biden said American support for Ukraine was unwavering.“As I told President Zelenskyyy during our interview in Kiev yesterday, I can say that our support for Ukraine remains unwavering,” Biden said.
He also stressed that relations with Poland are of crucial importance for the United States.Poland’s president said the White House chief’s visit is an important sign of Washington’s commitment to maintaining security in Europe.“Your visit is an important sign (to maintain) security, a signal of the responsibility of the United States for the security of the world and of Europe. America can save the world order,” Duda told Biden during a bilateral meeting.Ahead of the meeting, Duda’s foreign policy adviser noted that the leaders would discuss Poland’s security issues and the strengthening of NATO’s presence in the country.
