It is possible to establish regulated leave for participants in a military special operation at the level of the Ministry of Defense. However, if necessary, deputies are ready to enshrine this provision in law, said Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defense Committee.
“As for the modifications, in principle, this can be adjusted at the level of the decrees of the Minister of Defense. If necessary, and the Ministry of Defense proposes a legislative initiative, we are ready to do so,” the parliamentarian was quoted by TASS as saying.
The vacation, as well as the return trip, will be paid for each serviceman, Kartapolov added.
Today, February 21, President Vladimir Putin, as part of his message to the Federal Assembly, announced that all SVO participants should be guaranteed vacations of at least 14 days every six months. Psychologist Aleksey Zakharov called the proposal reasonable, since military personnel constantly have to replenish their own resources.
