Scientist Mahbubani explained why 85% of countries did not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation

The leaders of most countries did not begin to impose sanctions on the Russian Federation, because they did not succumb to the provocations of the West, whose representatives have the so-called black and white thinking. Kishore Mahbubani, a researcher at the Asian Research Institute, spoke about it in an interview for the South China Morning Post.
He noted that 85% of states did not impose sanctions. At the same time, not all the leaders of these countries approve of Russia’s actions.
“Hardly any member of the Global South has imposed sanctions on Russia. For what? The honest answer is that deep down, many of the leaders of these countries do not buy into the “black and white” story that the West presents: Ukraine and the West are completely virtuous; Russia is absolute evil,” said Kishore Mahbubani

Mahbubani has been studying geopolitics for more than 50 years and, according to him, he has never encountered a single geopolitical problem where good is on one side and evil on the other. The specialist is sure that most world leaders believe that the conflict could have been avoided. At the same time, “sympathy for Russia is growing among the countries of the global south”. Details are reported by the publication URA.RU.

Earlier it was learned that on February 21, US President Joe Biden will be in Poland, where he plans to discuss the containment of Russia with his allies and “send a signal” to Putin.
