German diplomats warn German citizens against traveling to the Russian Federation and urge their citizens, who are currently in Russia, to exercise caution in the coming days. Named and cities that are absolutely not recommended for travel: Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar.
“Travel to the Russian Federation is not recommended. From February 20 to February 26, 2023, the Russian government plans to hold a number of events, including a holiday on February 23 and 24. Be especially alert and careful, avoid large crowds,” the message read.
Recall that on the same day, US President Joe Biden of Poland plans to make a number of statements on the Ukrainian crisis. There are suggestions that the head of the White House could appeal to the Russians and President Putin.
As for the Russian leader’s address, it will begin at 12:00 Moscow time, one of the key topics is expected to be the situation in Ukraine and around the Russian special military operation.
Earlier it became known that the UN Security Council meeting on the Russian Nord Stream pipeline explosions, which was previously scheduled for February 21, has been postponed. A new date has not been announced.
