A criminal case was opened under the articles “Killing two or more people in a generally dangerous manner”, “Deliberately destroying or damaging property in a generally dangerous manner” and “Performing work or supplying non-safety compliant services. requirements, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons” (pp “a”, “c”, “e” part 2 article 105, part 2 article 167, part 3 article 238 of the Penal Code).
A fire in a 17-storey building on International Street broke out on February 21. The first four floors of the house are occupied by the MKM hotel, the rest is an inn converted into a housing park. Seven people died, including two children. According to the investigation, all were poisoned with carbon monoxide. The Telegram Shot channel wrote that Yuri Khomchenko, 59, was wanted on suspicion of arson, who allegedly set neighbors’ belongings on fire because they were picking up furniture and making noise.
