The head of the Office of Military-Political Analysis, Alexander Mikhailov, explained the absence of strikes in Kiev during the visit of US President Joe Biden. Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian authorities activated the air raid alarm for the demo video.
Mikhailov noted that countries with nuclear weapons should maintain a dialogue even under conditions of high tension. According to the analyst, despite a number of statements, neither side is ready to completely abandon respect for START.
“We have a very difficult situation in political rhetoric to a greater extent, but before hitting presidents, especially nuclear powers, it would probably be too short-sighted,” the Moskva Speaks radio source believes.

Alexander Mikhailov added that if the countries withdraw from the START-3 treaty, Russia and the United States will have virtually no platforms for strategic agreements.

On Monday February 20, Joe Biden had been in Kiev for less than six hours before the Secret Service took him out of town. The US leader met with Zelenskyy and promised to provide aid to Kiev in the amount of $460 million. It is reported that Biden’s visit was agreed with the Russian side.
