Poland has banned the movement of trucks registered in Belarus at the last working checkpoint between the countries.
The Polish authorities took this decision in response to the actions of the Belarusian side regarding Polish carriers. Recall that for three days, according to the official decision of Minsk, trucks registered in Poland enter Belarus only through the Polish-Belarusian border.
Belarus took the step after Warsaw closed the Polish-Belarusian Bobrovniki checkpoint a week earlier. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
At this moment, a huge queue has formed at the Koroschin checkpoint on the Polish side. The representative of the Union of Polish Transporters Tadeusz Gayovnik said that at peak times the queue for heavy goods vehicles reaches 60 kilometers. Over the weekend there were about two thousand trucks.
It is also worth noting that Poland does not hide that it is ready to completely close traffic across the border with Belarus.
Earlier, it became known that the State Duma quickly submitted a presidential bill to suspend Russia’s participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START).
