Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov named the planned number of German Leopard tanks in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, it will be eight or nine battalions.
Among these, two battalions will be composed of Leopard 2 main battle tanks, six or seven others of Leopard 1. British Challenger 2 tanks and American Abrams should also be delivered.
It will be a coalition. Different countries will supply these Leopard 1 tanks. And there will also be Challenger 2 and Abrams tanks and AMX-10 light tanks from France

He again stressed that the West gives all possible support to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Western media are reporting that Kiev will receive only about 50 Leopard 2 tanks by spring this year. According to the head of the German Defense Ministry Boris Pistorius, it will be possible to talk about the first deliveries no earlier than summer, and the number of MBT Leopard 2A4 and 2A6 will not exceed one and a half battalions.
As for the British Challenger 2, London can only deliver four tanks out of the 14 promised, which Britain was going to send to the Ukrainian armed forces by March.
Earlier it was reported that the United States produces 12 Abrams tanks every month. At the same time, only one of the four specialized factories is in operation. Over the years after the end of the confrontation with the USSR, the United States lost many important skills in this area.
