WSJ: US to impose sanctions on 200 Russians and companies

Under new US sanctions, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, around 200 Russian individuals and corporations will fall. On this subject writing The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
Officially, the American authorities will announce new restrictive measures this week. According to the publication, the sanctions lists will include several Russian governors and members of senior Russian officials, as well as companies associated with the defense industry.
The United States will also impose sanctions against “networks [фирм]involved in circumvention schemes.
The European Union is also preparing new sanctions, recalls The Wall Street Journal. The EU plans to ban imports of Russian goods worth up to $11 billion and impose sanctions on Iranian companies that supply drones to Russia.

EUobserver said the European Union sanctions list will include Tatyana Moskalkova, Ombudsman for Human Rights in Russia, Vyacheslav Dukhin, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, and Lenar Ivanov, Head of the Ministry of Work from Bashkiria. According to Bloomberg, the European Union could introduce restrictions against Alfa-Bank, Tinkoff-Bank, Rosbank and the National Welfare Fund (NWF). US President Joe Biden announced new sanctions against Russia on February 20 during a visit to Kiev.
