The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, called on countries in the General Assembly to vote for the amendments proposed by the Minsk official to the Western resolution on “the principles underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” said the UN General Assembly.
The UN special session, which is considering the anti-Russian draft resolution on Ukraine, takes place on Wednesday.
The organization reaffirms its commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, demands that the Russian Federation immediately withdraw its troops and stop strikes against civilian infrastructure. From Kiev, in turn, this is not in demand.

The delegation of Belarus proposed two changes. On the basis of the first, delete from the text the obligation for the Russian Federation to immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all its armed forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. At the same time, the clause calling for the cessation of hostilities remained.
The second amendment is to add to the text a call to “enter into peace negotiations”. Minsk also asked to add a clause calling on member countries of the association not to supply weapons to the territory of the combat zone.

All that remains is to wait for the results of the vote to find out whether the UN will listen to Minsk’s proposals. Details says RIA Novosti.
Earlier it became known that the Czech government decided to provide military assistance to Ukraine. For these purposes, the country has allocated 455 million dollars from its small budget. And about 1.3 billion dollars were sent to Kiev by the republic’s defense companies for military equipment.
