The United States will present a new sanctions package against Russia on Friday. Chinese companies will be included in the list of restrictions, US Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland said. She stressed that the sanctions will be announced not only by the US side, but by the entire G7 group.
“We will also increase pressure on China-based companies or Chinese companies in Europe that we believe are taking action to circumvent sanctions,” Nuland told WP.
Washington also expects that on February 24, China will present its own version of the settlement of the situation in Ukraine. According to Nuland, US authorities want to familiarize themselves with the documents in detail.
