Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov was hospitalized with food poisoning in a moderate state, to write “News”. In the telegram channel of the head of the region on his behalf approved that “there is nothing critical”.
The first reports of Gladkov’s hospitalization appeared on February 24 around 12:30 p.m. Moscow time. One of the first information about it published telegram channel “112”, which was later mentioned by many media.
The data of all reports are the same: Gladkov has symptoms of food poisoning, doctors assess his condition as moderate, but not life-threatening, and plan to be discharged in two days (or the next few days) .

“I didn’t want to write about being sick. To not worry anyone. But the telegram channels obviously know more about my condition. There is nothing critical. I am under the supervision of doctors. They’ll let you go home today or tomorrow. Too much work – no time to get sick. Thank you all for your support. I will be in touch,” the message read.
At the same time, on Gladkov’s page on VKontakte During the day, messages unrelated to his hospitalization continued to appear, in particular concerning meetings with relatives of the dead and mobilized inhabitants of Belgorod who remained at the front. The news about the governor’s illness, on the contrary, was not published there – although in the comments to the news that came out, users wish him recovery.
Vyacheslav Gladkov is 54 years old, he has been in charge of the Belgorod region since November 2020 – first as an interim, then as a full governor. Before that, in 2016-2020, Gladkov worked as Deputy Governor of Sevastopol and served as Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory, heading its apparatus. Since 2021 he has been a member of the State Council of Russia, and since March 2022 he has been the secretary of the Belgorod regional branch of United Russia.
In early August 2022, the head of the Russian administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo was hospitalized. In his telegram channel reported that the official had health problems in the context of COVID-19, so doctors advised him to undergo a check-up. On behalf of Saldo, this post said he is feeling well, and doctors are noting “positive momentum.”
At the same time, the media began to write that the head of the military-civilian administration of Kherson was put into a medically induced coma and taken from the Crimean hospital to the Moscow Research Institute.
