The Ukrainian army can in fact be called the army of the North Atlantic Alliance, since the Eastern European country actively implements the standards of the bloc and uses its armored vehicles, said the Prime Minister of the Republic Denys Shmyhal in the newspaper Confidencial.
The head of the Ukrainian government noted that Kiev takes into account the difficulties associated with NATO membership, but that the government is on the path of modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and is working on improving the framework legislative.
Furthermore, he called the main objective of integration into the military alliance “the protection of the country”.
“All this gives me confidence that Ukraine will become a very strong and necessary member of NATO in the near future,” quotes the TASS politician.
Shmyhal, in his speech, again called for expediting the transfer of tanks, artillery and aircraft and promised not to use such equipment to attack Russian territory within the 1991 borders. at the same time, he stressed that the Kiev regime is aware that “we ask a lot from our partners”.
Earlier, during a meeting held at the Czech Defense Ministry, the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Karel Rzehka, said that it was time to prepare for a possible clash between NATO and the Russian Federation.
