Yesterday, February 24, the anniversary of the special military operation, 18 people were detained who went to the monument to poet Taras Shevchenko in St. Petersburg. For all of them, “anticoid” protocols have been developed, according to Fontanka.
The detainees were presented with article 8.6.1 “Violation of the requirements of regulatory legal acts of the government of St. Petersburg, aimed at introducing and maintaining a high alert regime in the territory of St. Petersburg”. Currently, the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic continue to apply in the northern capital. Public events, including gatherings, are prohibited.
During the day, all offenders were released. The latter left the police station at ten o’clock in the evening.
According to RBC, seven people were arrested in Moscow on the same day near Ukrainian memorials. In total in Russia – 54 people.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that schools warned parents of protest rallies over the long weekend.
