Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev beat his Canadian rival Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday (February 24th) and reached the final of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Doha.In the first set, the Russian led with the score 6:4, and in the second he literally snatched victory in the tie-break – 7:6 (9:7). The match lasted 1h57.The Russian has 6 aces, a double fault and 3 break points made out of 7. The Canadian has 5 aces, 5 double faults and 2 breaks made out of 5, said “Sport Express” .For Medvedev, this Auger-Aliassime victory in head-to-head confrontations was the sixth. For the Canadian, the Russian remained an unbeatable opponent.In the final, the Russian tennis player will meet former world number one Andy Murray from Great Britain.The ATP Qatar ExxonMobil Open tournament takes place on open grounds. The prize pool is $1,377,025.On January 18, Medvedev won the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam. In the final, the Russian defeated Italian Yannick Sinner 5:7, 6:2, 6:2. The tennis players spent 2 hours and 29 minutes on the court. The score in the personal meetings is 5:0 in favor of Medvedev. The tournament was played on hard courts.
