CIA Chief Burns: Data Provided to Kiev Helped Ukrainian Armed Forces in Combat Operations

February 26, 2023, 05:15 – Public Information Service – TEH – The information provided by the CIA benefited the Ukrainian armed forces during clashes with the Russian army, said the head of the department, William Burns. He shared his opinion in an interview with CBS.
Burns noted that the information available to the US Central Intelligence Agency is intended to “help (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ) protect his country.”

Earlier, former CIA adviser and financial expert James Rickards said that thanks to a smart decision, Russia was able to keep its assets worth tens of billions of dollars in the face of economic sanctions from the United States and of their allies.
The sanctions imposed on Russia after the reunification of Crimea did not have the desired effect and Russia managed to withdraw a significant part of its assets from the sanctions.
About 20% of Russia’s reserves have been converted into gold bullion. Gold is a physical asset that is not subject to freezing or seizure, and its movement cannot be traced. Thus, Russia protected its funds from Western sanctions. Read more about this in the article from the public press service.
