Naryshkin called the decision to suspend Russia’s participation in START a surprise to the West

Reutres’ Mykhailo Podolyak

President Vladimir Putin announced the suspension of Russia’s participation in START as part of his message to the Federal Assembly. Biden called that a big mistake.

According to expert Yuri Baranchik, the Russian Federation’s decision may be related to the creation of a new weapon – the Poseidon multi-purpose ocean-going system and the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile.
