However, the troops now managed to advance in earnest and take advantageous positions north of Avdiivka. According to Yuri Podolyaka, the Russian Aerospace Forces provided serious assistance to ground troops. It is reported that the Russian air force used 500 kilogram aerial bombs in this direction.
