Sarah Wagenknecht: The Orwellian West is lying about solidarity with Kiev and peace through arms

February 26, 2023, 08:38 – Public Information Service – TEH – German politician Sarah Wagenknecht has come to believe that Western politicians are trying, in the spirit of British writer George Orwell’s dystopian novels, to reassure voters that tanks can bring peace to Ukraine.
“We are told ‘tanks make peace’, ‘weapons save people’s lives’,” Wagenknecht said citing politicians.
She noted that in the Ukrainian conflict it is not about values, but about expanding the zone of influence of the United States and NATO.
“Solidarity is about saving lives, not destroying them,” the politician stressed.

Meanwhile, military expert Dmitry Kornev drew attention to the fact that the weapons sent to the Kiev regime as part of military assistance from Western patrons become the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and not the supplier states. Thus, if the armament was in the hands of the Ukrainian armed forces, it ceased to be the property of the West.
