‘We refute’: Roshal’s hospitalization, 89, was described as planned

The president of the Union of the medical community “National Medical Chamber” Leonid Roshal was hospitalized for a planned arthroplasty, reported RBC in the press service of the organization. Earlier, reports surfaced on Telegram channels that the 89-year-old surgeon had been diagnosed with a fractured femoral neck.

“We refute the information, there was a planned hospitalization for a joint replacement. The operation went well,” said the press service of the National Medical Chamber.

Today, February 26, Mash telegram channel informed that Roshal was hospitalized in a Moscow hospital six days ago. claimed he had a history of Parkinson’s disease and cysts in his brain. “After further research, the famed surgeon received another diagnosis: a fractured neck of the left femur,” Mash wrote.
The day before, sanctions had been imposed against Leonid Roshal as part of the European Union’s tenth anti-Russian sanctions package. The surgeon’s inclusion in the EU sanctions list was due to his involvement in the initiative of the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF) to raise funds for the army from the DPR and the LPR, as well as its statements in support of the military operation in Ukraine. Roshal serves as Co-Chair of NFB Headquarters.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in her telegram channel appointed the inclusion of Roshal in the European Union sanctions list is blasphemy, which “should finally demonstrate where there is light and where there is darkness”. “It’s like Aibolit being held hostage by pirates,” she wrote.
