Ex-minister warns – If they lose they’ll try again in a few years

If Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, loses the war in Ukraine, that does not mean that we will have peace and quiet. Quite the contrary.

So says Vladimir Milov, who was Russian Deputy Energy Minister at the turn of the century. He then fell out with Putin and is now his staunch opponent and critic.

Sky News explains this and says that according to what Milov says, the defeat of the Russians will mean that the army will reorganize and come up with a solution later.

He also says that defeat in the war will not necessarily mean that Putin will be ousted from power because he has systematically thinned the ranks of the political elite and the political system.

Milov says the only way to end the threat to international security posed by Russia is to completely change the leadership of the Kremlin, all current leaders must step down.

“If Putin is not ousted, if we continue to have this aggressive, imperialist regime, he will rethink, revamp, rebuild and then strike again, probably in a few years,” he told Sky News.
