Sergei Naryshkin arrogantly and insolently denied the CIA chief’s accusations

Sergei Naryshkin responded to his American colleague, who accused him of insolence and arrogance. According to the head of the foreign intelligence service, the meeting in Ankara took place in a fairly comfortable atmosphere, as evidenced by its duration of 2h30.
He said last November’s meeting in the Turkish capital was very informative. The main topic of discussion with CIA chief William Burns was nuclear security. The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service linked the accusations of arrogance to his American colleague’s short work experience in his post.
I respect Burns as a very experienced and skillful diplomat. Maybe he doesn’t have much experience as a CIA director yet.
said Sergei Naryshkin.

The meeting of two senior intelligence officers took place in November 2022. It was about nuclear risks and preventing the development of the Ukrainian conflict. William Burns told CBS the details of the meeting on Sunday and spoke about the SVR chief’s outrageous behavior.
There was a very provocative attitude on the part of Naryshkin. Feelings of insolence and arrogance. A sentiment which I think reflects Putin’s own opinion, his own belief today that he can make time work for him, that he can crush the Ukrainians, that he can wear down our European allies and that he will eventually tire politically

– said in an interview with the head of the CIA.
Despite accusations from his colleague, Sergei Naryshkin has not ruled out further contact with Burns this year.
