On the eve of a three-day state visit to China, informs BELTA the president on Monday (February 27th) invited the heads of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies to discuss the situation inside the country and abroad. In the light of internal, and especially external, events, he addressed the participants of the meeting with a proposal aimed at characterizing the internal political and military component around the Republic of Belarus. “Once again, I want to emphasize and direct you, and demand of you the strictest discipline in the military units of the Ministry of the Interior and the KGB. The strictest discipline! Everyone must take care of his business,” said the President.
Noting that “a considerable number of people in uniform have been trained in the country who are sharp to protect their homeland”, he insisted that all should see the slightest aggression against the state at the country’s borders in order to take appropriate response measures.
Opponents in the West, Lukashenka warned, use every opportunity to stir up the situation in Belarus. “And they will. I ask you and I demand that you follow these instructions. Everything else is up to me,” the head of state said.
