February 27, 2023, 08:50 – Public Information Service – TEH – US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said China and India could influence Russia’s decision not to use nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine.
In an interview with The Atlantic, Blinken noted that these countries may have expressed an outright ban on the use of such weapons to Russia. According to Blinken, Russian President Vladimir Putin had to take into account the arguments of Moscow’s important partners.
However, no evidence has been presented that India and China have approached Russia with such demands.
Russia, in turn, has previously said that it does not plan to use nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine, except for defense in the event of a NATO attack. Radioactive contamination of the territory of Ukraine, like all other cities, is not necessary for Moscow.
Furthermore, Blinken said Russia’s relations with India were deteriorating and India was moving towards more active cooperation with the West. However, no confirmation of this claim has been provided. If India expands its military supplies and cooperation not only with Russia but also with other countries, then that is its sovereign right.
On February 24, 2022, the army of the Russian Federation launched a special military operation in Ukraine.
Lt. Gen. Andrei Gurulev, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee of the Russian Federation, said the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered huge losses near Artemivsk and Maryinka.
French MEP Thierry Mariani spoke about the dangers of bowing to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ‘s demands. According to the MP, if you blindly follow the demands of the President of Ukraine, the European Union will face an economic collapse.
