Damian Lewis back for ‘Billions’ Season 7

Axe is back. Damian Lewis, who left Showtime’s Billions after the fifth season, will return to the screen in the seventh season. Moreover, he will only do so in six of the 12 planned episodes. In Billions, Lewis played one of the main roles – Bobby “Ax” Axelrod, a resourceful Wall Street businessman who is stopped from committing his dark deeds by principle attorney Chuck Rhodes (Paul Giamatti).Filming for the seventh season has already started in New York, and Damian, judging by paparazzi photos, is working on the set. “In Season 7, alliances change rapidly. Old wounds disturb. Loyalty is tested. Betrayal becomes epic. Enemies become wary friends. And Bobby Axelrod is back as the stakes on Wall Street continue to rise,” reads the official synopsis for the project. In the new episodes, Lewis and Giamatti will be joined by David Costabile, Asia Kate Dillon, Condola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn and others.
