Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina striker Lionel Messi has been named FIFA World Player of the Year 2022.Last year he won the World Cup in Qatar and became the best player there.Messi was ahead of the other nominees – Frenchmen Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema.Messi has been named FIFA World Player of the Year for the third time, having previously received the award in 2009 and 2019.
