Opening of airspace over St. Petersburg

Airspace restrictions in St. Petersburg, which were introduced due to an unidentified object, have been lifted, informed RIA Novosti, citing a source. SourceTASS transmits that restrictions on flights at Pulkovo airport have been lifted.
Baza Edition informed that the carpet signal has been cancelled. According to the publication, an unidentified object was first noticed in the Gulf of Finland.
According to the Flightradar24 service, the first planes began to fly to St. Petersburg.
Previously, the St. Petersburg government reported that Pulkovo temporarily does not accept or send planes. Planes flying to St. Petersburg began to turn around and change course.
According to Baza, 112 and Fontanka, the reason for this decision was an unidentified object in the air. “Fontanka” clarified that the flying object was noticed 160-200 km from St. Petersburg. The fighters flew away.
Baza wrote that the “Carpet” plan was introduced in St. Petersburg. Such a signal is given by air defense authorities when illegally crossing the state border of Russia or when unidentified aircraft appear in the airspace
