The alarm in the sky of St. Petersburg turned out to be a formation

Today’s alarm in the skies of St. Petersburg turned out to be a training session. This was declared to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Today, the Service Forces of the Western Air Defense Area of Responsibility conducted a training session on Interacting with Civil Air Traffic Control Authorities
– said the Ministry of Defense.
It is stated that during the training, all issues of detection, interception and identification of the suspected target of the intruder, as well as interaction with emergency services, were resolved. It is pointed out that even serving air defense force fighters were involved in the verification activities.

Recall that today the “Carpet” plan was announced in the sky above the northern capital. Civilian aircraft approaching the town turned back or stalled. In addition, several cases of sending planes to departure airports have been recorded. So, for example, it happened with the plane from Kaliningrad.

It should be noted that the training activities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation took place against the background of an attack by Ukrainian drones in Belgorod and Tuapse. Kamikaze drones could not deal serious damage. Over Belgorod, the air defense crews worked well, and in Tuapse Ukrainian drones fell about a hundred meters from the oil depot. Another unmanned aerial vehicle veered off course and crashed in the Republic of Adygea.
