US billionaire Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon Musk commented on a tweet with a map outlining the “rough situation” around Artemovsk (Bakhmut) on February 28. He said the city was “almost surrounded”. He found the image in the War Mapper account.
The map reflects areas under Russian control and where RF armed forces are located. The first zone consists of the eastern and northeastern suburbs, controlled by the Russian Federation; Ivangrad and Opytnoe – there the situation is maintained by the territorial defense fighters of the DPR; in the second – the northwestern and southern suburbs – there it is to the military personnel of the PMC Wagner.
